Time Capsule Coatbridge
Ice is available on Sundays 6 to 7.30 at Time Capsule in Coatbridge, Scotland for families with a disabled member to skate together.
Payment is directly to the rink. £6 per session for a family. The session started on May 26th 2013 and now continues on a permanent basis as a club with the benefit of a very supportive of Ice Rink management.
In 2012 the first pilot Impaired Skating Club was developed in Auchenharvie, Scotland and is called the North Ayrshire Inclusive Skating Club.
The pilot ran as a family club where all members of the family are invited to skate (this includes the able bodied too!). Teas and coffee available for those who would like “a bit of down time” whilst the skaters are on the ice.
Ice was available 5.30 to 6.30 on Sunday evenings from 27th May (but not 3rd and 10th June) through until end of August 2012.
Cost £5 for the whole family.
